Missouri wide receiver Nate Brown out for spring after shoulder surgery

Missouri wide receiver Nate Brown will miss the rest of spring practice after undergoing shoulder surgery, a team spokesman said Friday.

Brown had the surgery on his right shoulder Thursday to repair a torn labrum.

Brown, a redshirt junior, missed all of last season after tearing ligaments in his left ankle last August. He had surgery on the ankle in September and took a medical redshirt.

Brown’s latest surgery should leave him able to return to full participation this August in time for the start of the 2017 season. He was listed second on the spring depth chart released earlier this month behind senior J’Mon Moore.
