COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri raced to an early 14-point lead on Miami (Ohio) and watched the visiting Redhawks go more than nine minutes between points in the first half. Yet the Tigers still needed a 3-pointer in the closing seconds to recapture the lead.

With 13 seconds left in the half, Terrence Phillips’ 3-pointer put the Tigers in front 26-25.

At the 10:57 mark, Mizzou led 16-2. After scoring the game’s first basket, Miami went 9:03 between points during which the Redhawks were outscored by three different Tigers.

But Miami came out of its shooting funk with a 22-7 run, finished off by Logan McClane’s go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:58 left.
