Gameday blog: Mizzou needs to rally to avoid upset

UPDATED, 6:05 p.m.

COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri had to settle for a field goal to open the fourth quarter and with Tucker McCann’s 21-yard field goal cut Middle Tennessee’s down to 41-38.

In a game that passed the three-hour mark before the end of the third quarter, the Tigers and Blue Raiders traded touchdowns in the third quarter for the game’s fifth and sixth lead changes. Damarea Crockett scored his fourth rushing touchdown of the game to push Mizzou back in front 35-34 with 1:33 into the quarter, becoming the first MU player to run for four rushing touchdowns in a game since Tony Temple did the same in the 2008 Cotton Bowl.
