COLUMBIA, MO. • Any fear of a letdown for the Missouri women’s basketball team quickly dissolved Thursday at Mizzou Arena. Four days earlier the Tigers pulled off their biggest win of the season, upsetting No. 6 South Carolina, a win that vaulted Mizzou back into the national rankings and earned sophomore guard Sophie Cunningham a wave of national honors.
In Thursday’s home finale against Ole Miss, the No. 24 Tigers drained Mizzou Arena of any suspense in the first half and proceeded to pummel the Rebels 100-65. It marked the Tigers’ highest scoring game in conference play since 1989, back when Mizzou played in the Big Eight.
