Shane Ray: Chasing His Father's Ghost While Escaping the Murder Factory

NFL draft prospect Shane Ray grew up in the Murder Factory, one of the most dangerous sections of Kansas City, Missouri. Ray had an impressive college career at the University of Missouri, which included setting his school's sack record and winning the 2014 SEC Player of the Year. According to Bleacher Report's Matt Miller, he is projected to be a top-10 pick in this year's NFL draft.

Many analysts consider Ray to be the best pass-rusher in the history of the University of Missouri, a school that has produced NFL players Aldon Smith, Justin Smith, Sheldon Richardson and Ray's father, Wendell Ray.
