Johnny Rodriguez remembers the first time he saw Magneuris Sierra.

It was in 2014 at the St. Louis Cardinals extended spring training program in Jupiter, Florida.

Rodriguez, now the Springfield Cardinals manager, was sitting on a bench next to former Cardinals great Willie McGee when Sierra — then just a skinny teenager from the Dominican Republic — jogged to the outfield.

"We both looked at each other and said, 'Major League player,'" Rodriguez said.
