High school coaches association names all-state baseball players

The best in high school baseball have been recognized by their coaches.

The Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association announced its all-state teams in five different classes. Coaches from around the state vote for the honors at the end of the season.

Two Springfield players nabbed second team all-state status in Class 5, the class for the largest schools. Right-handed pitcher Adam Link, the Springfield Leadoff Club co-MVP award winner, earned second team all-state as a pitcher. Hillcrest shortstop Brant Schaffitzel, a Drury University signee, is a second team all-state infielder.

The Class 4 coaches recognized Missouri State signee Mason Dickemann, a pitcher and a shortstop, as a first team all-state utility player.
