Burger time: Star third-baseman eyes upcoming season and MLB Draft

Over the last two seasons Bears fans saw four players drafted in the first six rounds of the MLB Draft. Among those picks was, Jon Harris, who was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays 29th overall following the 2015 season. The baseball Bears have had at least one player drafted since 2005, and that trend should continue in 2017.

MSU’s starting third baseman, Jake Burger, of Chesterfield, Missouri, is next in line and will enter the spring season with first-round aspirations.

“You don’t want to get too wrapped up in that because its projections; it’s not official,” Burger said.
