Much was made about billboards and the in-state rivalry going into Missouri State’s Tuesday game against the University of Missouri, but the story coming out of the game was how the Bears rallied around one of their fallen captains.
Senior second baseman Aaron Meyer tried running out a ground ball in the first inning and slipped on the grass while being tagged. He would stay down until being carted off of the field with an apparent right leg injury.
With tears in their eyes, the Bears found more motivation; even though they had a lot of motivation going in.
