Mississippi State picks up 3 commitments at ‘Big Dawg Camp’

Mississippi State landed three commitments at its “Big Dawg Camp” Friday.

Four-star junior college defensive tackle Deion Pope, three-star offensive tackle Cordavien Suggs and junior college offensive guard Tyre Phillips all committed to the Bulldogs at the school’s annual camp for football recruits, Bulldawgs247 reports.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Pope, who plays at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi, is ranked as the No. 2 defensive tackle nationally and the No. 7 prospect overall among junior college players, according to 247Sports Composite. He originally is from Collins, Mississippi.
