STARKVILLE, Miss. — No. 15 Mississippi State scored three runs in the seventh inning to down the UAB Blazers 3-2 Wednesday evening at Dudy Noble Field.
MSU improves to 4-0 on the year, while the Blazers are handed their first loss of the year and move to 3-1.
The game remained scoreless until the top of the fifth when UAB’s Colton Schultz singled to score J Paul Fullerton and Tyler Tolbert. Fullerton and Tolbert both scored after reaching on a single.
MSU was held hitless until sophomore Justin Foscue singled to left to break up the no-hitter.
