Carter continues legacy at MSU

Greg Carter is a busy man during basketball season.

Luckily, the Starkville High boys basketball coach and former Mississippi State standout will not have to travel far to see his son play in college.

Tyson Carter, a four-star combo guard for Starkville, committed to play for the Bulldogs on Tuesday.

“It’s just a really exciting time for me,” Tyson Carter said. “I’m really excited about the decision that I made. I’m glad I got it over with so I can start focusing on the season.”

The 6-foot-4, 170-pounder earned 17 scholarship offers during the recruiting process and took official visits to MSU, Memphis, Arizona State and Miami.
