Former Mississippi State head coach Rick Ray was selected as the head coach at Southeast Missouri State on Monday.
Ray was fired at MSU on March 21 after going 37-30 in three seasons as the head of the Bulldog program.
Ray takes over for Dickey Nutt who was the head coach for the Redhawks for six seasons. He was fired on March 23 after going 13-17 overall and 7-9 in Ohio Valley Conference play during the 2014-15 season.
According to Rachel Crader of the Southeast Missourian, Ray will make $175,000 a year plus $20,000 annuity.
