Linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche, the leading tackler for the No. 25 Ole Miss Rebels, was listed as questionable for Saturday’s game by head coach Hugh Freeze Wednesday night.
Nkemdiche, who has 53 tackles, with 6.5 going for a loss, was reported to be in a bed located inside the intensive care unit at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. That information was provided by Neal McCready of Rebel Grove.com, an affiliate of Rivals.com, on Wednesday night.
A representative of the ICU wing would not confirm or deny that Nkemdiche was a patient Thursday morning.
