Ole Miss punter Mac Brown got a pleasant surprise: Last weekend, his lemonade stand raised even more money than expected in the fight against ALS.
The school announced that the punter’s Awesome Lemonade Stand brought in more than $31,000 for research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Brown set up the lemonade stand this past Saturday in his hometown of Eden Prairie, Minn., part of an annual project that he began while in eighth grade.
