The American Football Coaches Association sent an interesting proposal to the NCAA. It suggest that a player will be allowed to play in up to four games during the season without losing their red-shirt. If the NCAA accepts this recommendation it will forever change the landscape of college football. It will also greatly benefit Ole Miss football.
Each team would benefit from this new rule, including Ole Miss. As long as the NCAA makes money from the back of kids playing more, they will benefit from the new proposal as well. We know the financial bottom line will ultimately decide whether this change will come to college football.
