Former Ole Miss and New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister is joining the Saints’ radio broadcast team, WWL AM 870 announced Wednesday.
McAllister will serve as the color analyst for the station beginning this season, replacing former LSU and Saints running back Howard “Hokie” Gajan, who passed away in April after a battle with cancer.
“Hokie and the Saints are synonymous, (so) to be given the opportunity to follow someone so entrenched in the history and tradition of Saints football, I’m grateful,” McAllister said in a statement. “If you can’t play the game, what’s more exciting than calling a game?
