Mike Reilly was packing movies for Iowa's upcoming road trip -- part of rookie duties, he said -- when he got the call to rejoin the Wild for Saturday's game in Dallas against the Western Conference-leading Stars.
After neither of his two previous call-ups this season resulted in him making his NHL debut, Reilly could tell this one was different.
The 22-year-old rookie defenseman has a good chance to make his big-league debut on Saturday. That is something he has anticipated since he signed with the Wild in the summer as an undrafted free agent following three standout seasons with the Gophers.
