Wild prospects held scoreless but play well against Oilers

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan -- A Wild lineup heavy on prospects held its own against a more proven Edmonton Oilers team Saturday before falling 3-0.

On what was likely their final day to make an impression on Wild coaches before being sent to the minor leagues, prospects Brett Bulmer, Mike Reilly, Christoph Bertschy and Gustav Olofsson contributed impressive shifts in the fourth of the Wild's six preseason games.

Against an Oilers team that featured No. 1 draft pick Connor McDavid, who recorded two assists, the Wild played just two players who spent all last season in the NHL and played just five players who are shoo-ins to make the team.
