The Wild have agreed to terms with prospect Michael Keranen on a one-year, two-way contract, keeping the 25-year-old forward in the team's system.
Keranen was a prized free agent signing out of Finland last summer and spent last season in the American Hockey League, his first season in North America. He finished with 37 points, second most on the Iowa Wild, in 70 games.
Keranen likely will open next season in the minors and could position himself for a midseason call-up.
