Vikings Release John Sullivan, Announce Other Roster Moves

Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman released the following statement on the veteran center:

“Our entire organization appreciates everything that John Sullivan has done for this franchise. Sullivan led our team, not only with how he played the game, but also with how he handled himself in our community. We wish John Sullivan and his family nothing but the best as they move forward.”

Sullivan was selected by Minnesota in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. After appearing in all 16 games in his rookie season, Sullivan became a starter in 2009, snapping to Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre.
