Vikings ready for Lions to turn up the volume at Ford Field

Shaun Hill used to be on the good side of the noise at Ford Field.

Hill, now the Vikings' backup quarterback, played for the Detroit Lions from 2010-13. He was there Oct. 10, 2011, when crowd noise at the indoor stadium helped coax Chicago's offensive line into nine false start penalties.

The Vikings and the Lions play Sunday at Ford Field. Minnesota has been preparing all week by playing recorded noise in the Winter Park fieldhouse during practices.

"It certainly can get loud in there," Hill said. "You have to be prepared for it all week, and we (did).
