Transportation Plan, Vikings Tailgate Options Announced

MINNEAPOLIS — U.S. Bank Stadium has its first game-day master plan.

Officials with the Vikings, SMG and Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority on Wednesday announced details of a transportation management plan for football games and other events at U.S. Bank Stadium.

SMG General Manager Patrick Talty said the multimodal transportation plan involved about 11 months of planning and consideration. Talty said officials evaluated demographics, parking, pick-up and drop-off locations, bicycle routes and community involvement with the goal of giving fans the best transportation experiences possible.

Visitors will have the option of using personal cars, taxis or other automobile ride services like Uber and Lyft, shuttle and charter buses, the Light Rail, bicycles or their own feet to arrive at the stadium.
