Peterson, Vikings Surveying Treatment Options for Knee Injury

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer told KFAN’s Dan Barreiro during a taped weekly segment on Monday that Adrian Peterson suffered a torn meniscus during Sunday’s 17-14 victory against the Green Bay Packers.

Zimmer said that Peterson, the 31-year-old three-time rushing champ, is discussing options for treatment with Vikings Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer Eric Sugarman and doctors.

“We’re going through the evaluation process to figure out what the next procedure will be, the options that we have,” Zimmer said during his Monday press conference with members of the media.
