Minnesota Vikings Waive Tyrus Thompson

For his sake, I hope that Eric really didn't invest anything in that "Thompson" jersey.

Per numerous sources, including 1500 ESPN, the Minnesota Vikings have waived offensive tackle Tyrus Thompson from injured reserve. Thompson was one of the Vikings' two sixth-round picks in the 2015 NFL Draft, being selected 185th overall.

Thompson started out this year's Organized Team Activities by seeing some snaps at right guard, but was moved back to tackle by the start of training camp. He was waived with an injury designation during the final cutdown in early September, but went unclaimed on waivers and reverted to the team's injured reserve list as a result.
