MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings announced they canceled coach Mike Zimmer's press conference Tuesday afternoon -- the day after the Vikings' 20-10 loss to the Chicago Bears -- because Zimmer is undergoing a "minor medical procedure."
The Vikings would not provide any further details about what Zimmer had done but said the coach will be available at his regular press conference Wednesday morning. He talked to reporters after the Vikings' game Monday night and did not seem to have any apparent medical issues.
The team used the same terminology in October 2014, when Zimmer had to leave a Friday practice for what turned out to be kidney stones.
