Harrison Smith working his way back onto the field

  • According to Matt Vensel of the Star Tribune, Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith was a full go in at least one practice last week. Smith had been recovering from offseason ankle surgery and doesn’t appear to have suffered a setback.
  • Despite being hampered down the stretch by his ankle injury, Smith strung together his third consecutive year in the top-10 graded safeties. His 85.4 overall grade was the lowest since 2013 but was still good for 10th among 90 eligible safeties.
  • Smith was again dominant against the run, as he has be for most of his career.
