Twins' late offense can't bail out Berrios

The Tigers beat up on rookie right-hander Jose Berrios, scoring three runs in both the second and third innings. Detroit capitalized on a throwing error from Brian Dozier in the second with Ian Kinsler connecting on a two-run double. James McCann provided the offense in the third with a three-run homer to right-center field. The Tigers tacked on two more runs against reliever Michael Tonkin in the sixth on a double from Victor Martinez.

The offense backed left-hander Daniel Norris, who went 6 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on six hits.
