Twins' GM Terry Ryan wants more production from catchers

Only the Seattle Mariners received less production from their catchers than the Twins in 2015, at least in terms of the .596 combined on-base/slugging percentage Kurt Suzuki and his backups were able to muster.

While Suzuki again proved durable, ranking fourth in the majors and second in the American League with 1,096 innings caught, the Twins could try to supplement the position this winter.

"We need more productivity out of a lot of spots, and (Suzuki) can do better," Twins general manager Terry Ryan said Tuesday. "We've seen that. Not this year, but last year."
