Fernando Romero shocked a lot of observers with his impressive return to the mound last year. Coming into this season, Romero is one of the most exciting players in our countdown of the top 10 Minnesota Twins prospects.
In 2014 he made three starts before heading to the disabled list. Romero needed Tommy John surgery, and as a result, he missed the entire 2015 season.
He made his return last season on May, 20. After five starts with single-A Cedar Rapids, the Twins promoted Romero to single-A Advanced Fort Myers.
Romero’s stats were just as good after the promotion.
