The Minnesota Twins dispatched the Baltimore Orioles yesterday 14-5, and after the game they dispatched 5 players to their minor league complex. Pitcher Jake Reed, infielders Engelb Vielma and Heiker Meneses, outfielder Rey Rodriguez, and catcher Alex Swim were all reassigned.
Vielma and Meneses acquitted themselves well in their brief stints at camp. Vielma had 4 singles and a triple in 11 plate appearances and Meneses had 3 singles in 7 PAs. Vielma also recently received his award for being the top defensive player in the Minnesota Twins’ system.
