Twins finally get a hit off Kluber, and win in extras

Corey Kluber was perfect for much of the night on Friday, and Mike Pelfrey was far from it. But Pelfrey’s performance, in context of what the pitchers have done lately, may have been the more encouraging in a game that was eventually won 3-2 by the Twins in 11 innings thanks to a solo home run by Trevor Plouffe.

Kluber is the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner, and he looked the part at Target Field, easily retiring the first 15 batters he faced, seven of them on strikeouts. Yeah, the Twins know what he can do.
