Reds 2, Twins 1: Johnny Cueto sharp as Reds win series

CINCINNATI -- The Twins completed their interleague schedule with a frustrating 2-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon.

Twins starter Trevor May, seemingly pitching for his spot in the rotation, bobbed and weaved for 6 1/3 innings at Great American Ball Park.

May was able to escape unscathed in the second after the Reds loaded the bases with nobody out.

However, Brandon Phillips opened the third with a double, moved up on a wild pitch and scored on Joey Votto's sacrifice fly.

Three straight walks in the fifth led to the second run off May (4-7), this time unearned when catcher Chris Herrmann threw the ball into left field on what he believed was a strikeout.
