Minnesota Twins reliever Tim Stauffer struggling but upbeat

SEATTLE -- Little-used reliever Tim Stauffer is trying to remain upbeat despite a slow start.

Saddled with a 9.00 earned-run average through five outings, none of them longer than five outs, the Twins right-hander believes he's on the right track.

"I don't feel I'm where I'd like to be at this point in the year," Stauffer said. "I've always been a little bit of a slow starter. Obviously, I don't want to make any excuses. I'd like to be able to go out there and get in a groove. I really don't feel like I've hit that groove quite yet.
