Sam was once again gracious in describing the parting of ways with the Timberwolves organization, stating and restating his understanding of “this business”, the coaching profession, and the job that he signed up to do.
He also made sure to point out that owner Glen Taylor never promised the job to him, but that he simply did the job he was asked to do — interim head coach — to the best of his abilities.
