The Minnesota Timberwolves made it clear last year that Gorgui Dieng was a key piece in the team’s future. Last October, Dieng was inked to a four-year, $64 million deal that will keep him in a Wolves uniform through the 2020-2021 season.
With Dieng, he isn’t a flashy player by any means. He is an old-fashioned, fundamentally sound forward that will battle you on the boards.
He also brings a championship presence as he was part of Louisville’s national title run in 2013.
What was good about him coming out of college was he was 24 years old.
