The Gopher Basketball season just got a bit stranger with Carlos Morris being dismissed from the team. Details are unknown but here is the press release from the University.
The University of Minnesota men's basketball program has dismissed senior Carlos Morris for conduct detrimental to the team, head coach Richard Pitino announced Wednesday.
Morris will remain on scholarship and have access to academic support services through the remainder of the school year.
I will not speculate what happened here but the Gophers will finish out the season down one more scholarship player on the roster and six games remaining (including Big Ten Tournament game).
