Injuries continue to mount

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Gophers cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun didn't play Saturday, and his reserves Jalen Myrick and Craig James both suffered leg injuries in the 27-0 loss to No. 16 Northwestern.

Boddy-Calhoun injured his right knee in the 27-24 win over Ohio last week and did not make the trip.

Instead, Myrick and James started alongside corner Eric Murray as the Gophers opened the game in the nickel package.

Myrick was limping in the first half, while James reportedly had a left calf injury in the third quarter, according to KFXN-FM.

James, who is also the Gophers' punt returner, didn't field punts late in the game, giving way to KJ Maye.
