Forest Lake offensive lineman Patrick Kasl remains a strong oral commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers' 2016 recruiting class.
But the Gophers have been in pursuit of Kasl since Minnesota hired Bart Miller as its offensive line coach in late December.
"He's almost for sure is going to sign with Madison," his mother Mary Kasl told the Pioneer Press on Wednesday. "Other places are coming after him and making offers, and they are excellent options, but he is not soliciting them."
Kasl, a three-star recruit listed at 6-foot-6 and 280 pounds, gave an oral commitment to the Badgers in June and then decided to not attend Minnesota's summer camp, Mary Kasl said.
