Milwaukee Bucks rookies Thon Maker and Malcolm Brogdon have signed contracts, the team announced Saturday.
The 7-foot-1 Maker, the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft, is expected to make around $2.6 million as his slotted salary in the first year of his four-year rookie scale deal. The total of the four-year contract is $11.6 million.
First-round picks have two guaranteed years of salary and NBA teams hold options on the third and fourth years of rookie-scale contracts. Rookies normally receive contracts at 120% of scale.
Maker, 19, played two years at a prep school in Ontario before being ruled eligible for the June draft.
