"It's not bad," Sogard said before Saturday's game. "It feels a lot better than it did last night."
Lewis Brinson took Sogard's place in the lineup to make the seventh start of his big league career. Brinson was hit in the left pinky on Friday, the same finger he dislocated in Triple-A Colorado Springs earlier in the season.
Nick Franklin exited Friday's game with left hamstring tightness, but Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Franklin and Sogard will be available to pinch-hit.
"All our guys really that were kind of banged up a little bit yesterday -- Lewis, Nick -- they're all doing pretty well and available for today," Counsell said.
