Scooter Gennett humming after Class AAA stint

An early season demotion to the minor leagues appears to have had the desired effect on Scooter Gennett.

The Milwaukee Brewers' second baseman found success at the plate after being recalled from Class AAA Colorado Springs on June 11, hitting .320 with three home runs and 14 runs batted in.

And he's been even hotter in the month of July, hitting .378 with four doubles, a triple and eight RBI while posting an on-base percentage of .440 and an OPS of .951.

While he once again finds himself sharing time at second base — this time with Hernan Perez — Gennett is back to looking like the player the Brewers had penciled in to play most days coming into the season rather than the one who was hitting just .
