MILWAUKEE -- The baseball popped out of Pirates catcher Elias Diaz's glove as Lorenzo Cain (Lo Cain) scored the game's first run. Then the same thing happened to Pirates center fielder Starling Marte. And the Brewers were on their way to a big inning.
Mike Moustakas (Moose) and Manny Pina (Pineapple) each hit two-run home runs after those close calls extended the bottom of the third inning, sending the Brewers to a 6-0 lead over Chris Archer and the Pirates in the teams' series finale at Miller Park.
