Milwaukee Brewers: Wily Peralta’s Outing Goes For Naught in Loss

Sometimes things just don’t go your way and that is the way it was for Wily Peralta tonight. Though he pitched much better than he did in his loss to the San Diego Padres, he ran into a buzzsaw with the St. Louis Cardinals’ pitching staff that has now gone 36-innings without allowing a run.

After surrendering a lead-off home run to Cardinals, Matt Carpenter, and another run in the second, Peralta settled in nicely and even retired 14 straight batters at one point. In all Peralta pitched well enough to win, going seven strong, allowing just three runs while strikeout out three.
