It's certainly not unusual for Chris Carter to hit home runs.

But it is a bit unusual for a 31-year-old rookie to win his first major-league start after keeping his career alive by pitching in Wichita, Mexico, Italy and Venezuela.

That was the path right-hander Junior Guerra took to the mound at Miller Park on Tuesday night and he did enough over six innings for the Milwaukee Brewers to take a 5-4 interleague victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

Carter did the heavy lifting with two home runs and three runs batted in, continuing his early-season power binge.
