Brewers send infielder Luis Sardinas to Seattle for outfielder Ramon Flores

Brewers general manager David Stearns is treating trades like vitamins: one a day.

For the third consecutive day, Stearns made a trade on Friday, sending infielder Luis Sardinas to Seattle for outfielder Ramon Flores. Stearns acquired infielder Jonathan Villar from Houston the previous day, providing the depth to deal Sardinas.

Flores, 23, does not profile as an everyday player in the majors, so this is a move for depth on the Brewers' roster. He is a left-handed hitter without much pop but knows the strike zone and sprays line drives to all fields.
