Monday, the Brewers admitted they may need to place second baseman Scooter Gennett on the disabled list if his finger injury lingered. One day later and the Brewers have chosen to go that route, putting Gennett on the 15-day DL and calling up Elian Herrera from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Gennett, of course, sliced open his finger while showering too danged hard. He says he had been reaching for his body wash when the metal holder got a hold of him, resulting in a few stitches and a couple weeks rest.
