Philadelphia — In an era in which players are bombarded with enough statistics, analytics and tendencies to melt down their brains, Adam Lind prefers to keep it simple.
The Milwaukee Brewers first baseman prefers not to spend a lot of time studying film in the video room or poring over scouting reports on pitchers. There is one statistic that piques his interest, however.
"For me, a big stat is swing and miss," said Lind, referring to how many times a pitcher gets it past the hitter. "At this level, that tends to make your pitches somewhat invisible.
