Middlesbrough could face FA rap after wearing WRONG KIT for the third straight FA Cup game against Oxford

Middlesbrough could incur the wrath of the Football Association after wearing the wrong kit for the third successive FA Cup match.

Boro took to the field against Oxford United on Saturday with the Premier League emblazoned on their sleeve rather than the correct FA Cup logo that all teams must wear when playing in the competition.

And repeating the mistake yet again could land Boro in trouble with the FA with the competition worth huge money.

The FA Cup's broadcast rights were sold for a reported £820million for six seasons beginning in 2018 - so it would follow that the FA would want the correct logo worn to show on TV for the benefit of their sponsors.
