MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee women's soccer officially opens the 2017-18 Blue Raider athletic year this weekend, taking on Belmont in Nashville on Friday before returning home Sunday to host Austin Peay.
The Blue Raiders and Bruins are set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Nashville's E.S. Rose Park. The two local rivals are meeting for the 15th time with MT holding an 8-5-1 advantage all-time after a 1-1 draw last season in Murfreesboro.
Belmont brings plenty of experience into the match on their home turf, boasting eight returning starters and 18 returning letterwinners from 2016.
